COMMUNITY INFORMATION

Fed up with Criminal and Anti-Social Behaviour in your
Neighbourhood. CTHA would urge you to keep on
reporting criminal activities in your area to the police.
Regular meetings are held with the police and they are informing us that the number of reported incidents from our tenants is decreasing.

Why is that? One aspect is that fear of you name being broadcast over “a scanner” allowing everyone to know that it was you that called the police. The good news is that SCANNERS DO NOT WORK ANYMORE – the police have a new digital communication system that cannot by picked up by scanner.

The only way that a signal can be picked up is if a criminal gets hold of a police handset. Even then they are useless because the police ‘burn out’ lost handsets to ensure that they cannot receive a signal. This is a big breakthrough which will hopefully have a big effect on our community where scanners appear to be plentiful.

The only way to get our residents and community the police service that it requires is for you to report any criminal or anti-social behaviour to the police.
